Winter Cocktail Recipes to Keep You Warm This Season

Brandy Alexander

  • 1 oz cognac
  • 1 oz crème de cacao
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • Fresh nutmeg
  • 1 stick of cinnamon (garnish)

Combine cognac, creme de cacao and heavy cream together in a cocktail shaker. Shake with ice to combine. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with fresh nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. 



Hot Buttered Rum

  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 4 oz hot water
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Fresh nutmeg

Combine brown sugar and hot water in a Irish coffee glass. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add the rum and top with butter. Garnish with a sprinkling of nutmeg. 



Tom and Jerry

  • 1 egg separated
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 2 oz brandy
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Fresh cinnamon
  • Fresh cloves
  • Ground allspice
  • 12 oz hot milk
  • Fresh nutmeg
  • Candy cane (garnish)

Whisk the egg yolk, rum and brandy together. Beat the egg whites with the sugar and spices until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites into the liquor and divide into two mugs. Top with milk and stir until foamy. Garnish with nutmeg and a candy cane.
